Beginning of the Twist and Radio Heart - The Futureheads
When this video came out, I thought to myself, The Futureheads are writing Clash songs! How wonderful. And I went out and got the album. The very first Futureheads album kept me sane during a long camping trip way back in 2004.

Some Thoughts On The Daily Show
In my Mass Media class today, we watched a clip from PBS’s Frontline about the sorry state of the news media, and of course the segment was on The Daily Show. There was a choice quote from a producer saying that any trends towards people getting their news primarily from the Daily Show represented none of their own success and all of other people’s faiures. And basically my mind went...

Late Bloomers, by Malcolm Gladwell →
Gladwell’s first essay on this subject was rejected by his editor, basically because the editor though it was bullshit. But it’s actually very fascinating stuff and a great read, detailing the ultimate prodigy/late bloomer dichotomy of Picasso and Cézanne very effectively.

Randall XKCD, You Are The Man
Bernanke forced the door on yet another inner office, realizing too late that the light was on inside. The chair in the corner swiveled around, and Bernanke found himself face-to-face with Alan Greenspan. There was silence for a moment.
“You won’t get away with this,” said Greenspan, rising to his feet. “The Fed is subject to general congressional oversight. But you never understood that, did...

100 Skills Every Man Should Know →
I like the sewing description: men should know how to sew because you can repair manly shit like tarps and camping gear. I’m kind of caught between thinking this is ridiculous and really wanting to know how to do all this stuff. I only really know how to do about 45 of these things.
Interesting advice:
We’ve got a town hall debate coming up tonight, and John Dickerson at Slate has this to say to the audience: Google yourself and wipe your Facebook page before you go, because if you ask a controversial question, the blogosphere will be all over you. Its an interesting example of how different this election has been, even from 2004.
Since when did Futureheads write Clash songs? Color me impressed.
